IKEA is awesome. I don't know how it is for Scandinavians, but for Germans at least one part of the experience is reading the names of the products. Maybe that's due to the guy narrating IKEA ads ever since I can remember, with his great Swedish accent and way of saying things. "Knut", "Billy" - ah, I remember...

When I arrived in St Andrews, the Scandinavian Society organised an IKEA trip. For them, it was mostly being fancy and eating meatballs, but I bought Flärke, and a heavily discounted Stolmen for our room. Oh, and Plastis, the brush. We called them by name all year, and in the end nobody had troubles pronouncing them properly, either ;) . You just have to love the IKEA cult!

I just went on one of those trips to IKEA with my sister and my mum too! :D It was great! I love IKEA too, it's so cheap. Unfortunately with the quality of too many of the things, you can tell why it's so cheap :P

Hmm, I managed to get a cabinet thingi really cheap once. Something about it was a bit damaged, I think somebody hit a chunk out of the corner, so it was put in that "reduced corner" (which is always worth checking out, I find). Then somebody hit another chunk from it, so they halved the price again - and there went one happy Niko with a 40 pounds cabinet for just 10, knowing I could always stick some nude pictures over those damaged parts, hihi ;) .
