I just finished my computer science homework, and submitted them to the teacher. The deadline is on thursday, but it feels very good to be done. I did most in lab on thursday, but there was this one little bug I could not figure out, now however that is fixed and the program ran the way it was supposed too. I think I am going to work on figuring out how emacs and python works on windows when I have time, because going all the way to the computer labs is annoying (the labs I use are all in the science quad), which means that I need to get hold of an SSH client, to be able to connect to beowulf. Yay! When I was doing my reading the other day I came across compilers, and suddenly Thomas' phrase ran trough my head: "A complier is a...." , and I had a 'oh so it was that he was talking about' expirience.
My mom turned 50 today, happy birthday mom! She got a trip to Rome from her siblings and father, I hope she has a great time when she does go. She told me some of her students had baked her cake, and she almost cried. Cute, I remember we did the same when one of our teachers turned 40, he also got two ducklings from us. Talking about birthdays, I can't wait 'till mine comes around , mainly because I know what I'll be getting ( I am buying it for myself), a new camera. Over christmas I told my parents I was going to buy one anyway and that instead of them spending too much money on postage (Last Nemi cost my mom NOK 150(!) to send here) they could just chip in on the camera, and told them to tell the rest of the family the same. I think I am also going to do the now yearly tradition of making my moms spagetti sauce.
On the jewlery side, I am now done with the small byzantine bracelet and have started a japanese style one (though it might turn into a ankelet or necklace). I got the insipration from this page. Loads of lovely jewlery there.
