Hot Stuff

"Sittin' here, eatin' my heart out waitin'
waitin' for some lover to call
dialed about a thousand numbers lately
almost rang the phone off the wall

Lookin' for some hot stuff baby this evenin'
I need some hot stuff baby tonight
I want some hot stuff baby this evenin'
gotta have some hot stuff
gotta have some lovin' tonight
I need hot stuff
I want some hot stuff
I need hot stuff
Lookin' for a lover who needs another
don't want another night on my own
wanna share my love with a warm blooded lover
wanna bring a wild man back home

Gotta have some hot love baby this evenin'
I need some hot stuff baby tonight
I want some hot stuff baby this evenin'
gotta have some lovin'
got to have a love tonight
I need hot stuff
hot love
lookin' for hot love"
-Hot Stuff by Donna Summer

You know, some good things came out of the seventies. Hot Stuff by Donna Summer is one of these things. This is a song I first hear in a strip show when I was thirteen. Well, it was a mock striptease for a performance competition I was in. For those of you who know it, it was Ungdomens Kulturmønsting(UKM). It starts local, then regional and then national. The year I was thirteen my theater group managed to get to national level. It was really fun and the guys from my region was amazing, some of the more noteworthy ones where H.A.R.M. - a death metal band, Cambodian B-Boyz - two (surprise, surprise) cambodian breaker dancers (and yep, my love for Asian guys started with these two, god they were yummy), and some rather good artists. But yeah, it was a weekend filled with performances and shows, and in one of them there was a couple of stand up comedians who among other things did the striptease. They started in full firemen's outfits and after about four complete outfits ended up in tshirts and jeans. And ever since then I have had this song stuck on my brain, and I will start singing it at the most inapropirate times, like in class, or in a quee to the movies. Or during leir skule (camp school, yes I was a camp instructor, all the students in Flekke were.). Around 8 12-14 year olds learning to do archery, not good. And then suddenly today, while my mom was making food. I think this song has to go on my life soundtrack. Damn. Well. I guess it is right next to Instant Pleasure. I think I really should sit down and make this soundtrack, or maybe someone who knows me should do it. Maybe that could be a fun challenge, a list of 5 (roughly, personally I would need about 30) songs that would be the sound track of me... Anybody up for it? Do it and I'll owe one, ie. you guys get to give me a challenge...
