Anti war movies

This summer I have been watching more antiwar movies than I normally do. My mom have quite a lot these. I think it was her rebellion towards her father, who was in the Norwegian Navy, actually fairly high ranking. My mom tells how he tore a poster of Che Guevara down from her wall. But yeah, this summer I have watched: Hair, Good Morning Vietnam, Kelley's Heroes, and at last, today, M*A*S*H. I am partly raised on that show. Though what I watched today was the movie version. I have very mixed feelings about these movies. On one hand, I agree with the message in them and stuff, but at the same time, I am a realistic person, war is always gonna be around. Ain't nothing we can really do about it. Then I worry for Danna, and for Robbie when it is his time to serve. I worry more about them than for the chance that my brother might serve. Two reasons for this, one is that my brother might not even serve and the other is that the situation is quite different. Israel and Norway.
I started thinking about this today as I caught up to the current episode of 7th Son. Most of my heroes in the novel are army guys. Michael the marine of the clones, Gen. Orlando Hill, Major Bennett, Stone(I seem to remember he's a corporal, but I am not sure). Why? I honestly don't know. You know what they say about men in uniform? It is honestly not a joke. But still, doesn't matter. Bennett was just introduced and Stone is a very minor character, why do I like them so much? I would like to know the answer.
And there wasn't really a point to this rant, sorry..
