I am sitting in the engineering chill out room, next to the computer lab we use for Computer Science. I am having CompSci lab in half an hour. Computer Science is ok, not the most interesting class in the world, but it is a programming class and while the labs are fun having lectures in programming is not really that fun. It does not help that it is an morning class (and by morning I mean 9 AM) and that the teacher over explaines every little bit of code. Honestly I think most of us got what "For i in the range(5)" meant the first time he explained it. But enough about that.
I was planning on writing a blog sooner, but I haven't been able to collect my thoughts untill now. On Saturday I got the sad piece on news that I think most of us got. Even though I did not know Daniel very well, it made me very sad and disapointed with the world ("Damn you unfair world!"), at the same time I just felt the urge to go play in the snow, get drunk, do something stupid and feel alive. I don't know why death makes me react that way, but as far as I know it is not an uncommon reaction. So then I did indeed go and get drunk, on rum (which I have never had, so I got a bit more drunk than I had planned), and the following morning while I was drinking insane amounts of milk (someone please explain my craving for milk when I am hungover), Claire, Miriam, Siobhan, Mel and I ended up talking about pirates and how fun a pirate larp would be , we decided that we are going to try to make one.
In other news; I have gotten a new hobby, making chainmaille jewerly. I got my stuff on monday and have been weaving (yes that is what it is called) like a maniac. I finished one bracelet yesterday and started on another. But so far I only have bronze rings, but tons of ideas. So to support my new found hobby I have decided that I am going to sell what I make, so that I have money to by more rings (and ship them here, damn that was expensive). So far the waves I have been making have been byzantine, and I'll post a picture when I finish my current project, which should be soon. Pictures and desciptions of waves can be found here. I am willing to try out most waves and ring sizes and types of metal, provided that I can get hold of them.
I just finished my constellation quiz #2, passed with flying colours. Tonight was nice and extremely clear.

Adventures of a Garlic Lover
if I ever have my own food program it will be named "Adventures of a Garlic Lover". I just adore garlic, the more the merrier. I made dinner yesterday, Garlic and Rosemary Chicken with Jamie Potatoes, I used about half a garlic in the entire thing. But at the same time I like to keep it fairly simple, only a few tastes at a time. The chicken for example, garlic, rosemary, thyme, black pepper, salt, and olive oil, and that is it.
Garlic and Rosemary Chicken
(My variation of a Jamie Oliver style chicken)
You need:
Chicken (I use leg, but you can use only breast or a whole chicken)
Rosemary
Thyme
Garlic
Salt
Whole black pepper
Olive oil (I use extra virgin )
First you crush the whole black pepper in a mortar and pestle, add in the rosemary and the thyme and crush a bit more. Then you add in garlic, loads of it, mush that as well and stir in some oil until it has a nice consistency. Use your hand and make a pocket between the skin and meat of the chicken and put some of the garlic mixture in. Drizzle salt and oil over and leave to set for 15-20 minutes. I roasted mine on top of the potatoes, but you can roast them on their own. 1-1.5 hour at 200 degrees C (392 F, 473 K).
Jamie Potatos:
(My mom and I playing with another Jamie style potatos)
You need:
Potatos (washed or peeled)
Oilve Oil
Salt
Pepper
Garlic
Thyme
Peel/wash potatos and then cut into quarters. Add on seasoning, garlic and oil. Mix a bit. Roast on 200 degrees C for 1.5-2 hours)
On another subjects:
I have been watching PotC:DMC, I love Jack Sparrow. I want a pirate, I want a ship...
Sewing: I have made a skirt, will finish my corset today and hopefully work on the dress, gamerson, pants, and shirt tomorrow.
LARP: Bjørn Are adn I decided to prostpone the vampire oneshot, since it seems like we would be 4 people (Baba and myself included).
