6.30 - cravings

It is 6.30 in the morning and I am awake.
It is 6.30 in the morning and I have been awake for an hour.

An hour ago: I woke up with a start. I was alone in my bed. Not really something to fret about I know, but on some level I had expected her to be back by now. She might be, she might be in her room. It took be half an hour to get my brain to work enough to remember that she had said she might be staying at Sib's. So now I don't know where she is, all I know is that she is not here. Again, not really anything to fret about, but tell that to my muddy brain an hour ago.

Now: I have a craving for coffee. Steamy warm freshly brewed coffee with a little bit of milk as I sit here and hear the world wake up. I wonder how early Starbucks opens on Sundays? If this had been back home in Norway I would so have had a mug of steaming coffee as I would be writing this. But then again, I wouldn't be writing this, because one of the things I crave for would be over 5000 km way (that is 5 000 000 meters. 5 million meters) and the other one I would have. Instead I have none, but they are relatively easy to get, both of them. I am really wondering about Starbucks now. I really want a big cup of coffee and there are worse places to write. But then again, I live in Northampton and people frown at you if you go there. And I did spend a lot of money yesterday. But... Coffee! Want! Actually what I really want is the oppertunity to make it myself, to cuddle up with a big cup of coffee and a warm cat on my stomach. And then use this time to catch up on my online reading, maybe write some myself and chat to friends. Yeah, that was how I spent my mornings last summer. Getting up at somewhere between four and five and talk to my friends. Now my friends are much closer. Yet some of them I talk to way less. Odd that. I think what I am craving is that entire package of friends close even though they are physically far away, coffee, good food and cats. Seems like I have opted for the lesser deal this year, huh? But then again, most of the time I don't thinks so. This is only the early morning ramblings of a tired coffee craving person.

Oh have I mentioned I want coffee? And cuddles? And how I am getting none right now...

I am still alive

Yeah, I am still alive. Things are going well in my life. I am writing this while I am waiting for the coffee to brew. Yes, I brought freshly ground coffee before I left and even if that is almost two weeks ago it is still way better than most of what you get in stores. When my parents come I think I'll ask them to bring loads of coffee. It seems a bit redundant to get coffee from the old world when I am over here, but back home I know where to get the coffee I like and they also burn the beans the way Norwegians like them.
This last week and a half I have been having a lot of girlfriend time, a lot of friend time in general actually, and it is very nice. I had been thinking about visiting Thomas this weekend but there seems like there was no easy way of getting up to him. Friend time have been very nice, we've been watching b-movie biology, a movie and a discussion every night this week. Yesterday we say GATTCA, I still like that movie a lot, even if it is full of odd little things that don't really fit. We've been watching Dr.Who, having knitting circles and so on and so forth. Really nice.
In the podcast alley, I been listening to Morevi Remastered by Tee Morris. I actually really like it. It is so far quite interesting. I have also listened quite a lot to Dragon's Landing. But I have catching up to do with Escape Pod for one.
In the big news area, I am changing major. I have decided that rather be a computer science major, engineering minor than the other way around. This means that I'll have a somewhat easier time with fullfilling the requirements and I can focus on what I want to do rather than what I have to do. I can take more classes that focus on robotics and AI than I could other wise.
I also have joined the fencing team, as an epee fencer. I still have a lot to learn before I am any good. But I am sure I'll get there. But that means loads of practice. Also there is Hapkido. I took Sibs (I should really call her Miss Duffey now) class and it was a lot of fun even if I do blue belt flops instead of proper rolling falls. She is planning on starting a club, so I'll do that too. Loads of exercise. Which is good for me I guess.

Anyway Coffee is done and I should get back to coloring the comic

Enjoyable week

I am sitting in my room, going to go down to lunch in something like 15 minutes. I am now back to regular schedule and I am enjoying the last week of break, plying loads of games as an early winter-een-mas celebration. I recomend todays Ctrl+Alt+Del ("Chest of Choice") by the way. I aslo have good Norwegian coffee with me, right before I left Kr.Sand I went into the coffee store and bought coffee beans that the woman in the store grinded for me right there, the taste is so much better. I aslo brought chocolate, browncheese and Prim, lovely, I might bring the Prim to lunch. Apart from that I try to get into the habbit of studying an hour of chinese every day, I was a bit bad yesterday, but apart from that I have been good. Our teachers have promised us some sort of celebrtion on chinese new year(including making food), looking forward to that yeah. I brought my books yesterday, it annoys me that they have to cost so much, (90 dollars for a USED econ book), but it is fun looking through them. Apperntly the language we are going to be working with in CompSci is Python, I ahve acctually never heard of it, but it looks interesting from what I have been able to read. Astro is the other subject I am really looking forward to...
