Counter Strike and an update on the Horse.

The horse:
As some of you know my horse is having a foal. It is suppoesed to be due on June the 9. But a horse's pregnacy is 11 months and 11 days plus/minus 3 weeks.. Which means that she could give birth anyday. Yesterday my brother thought he saw the first signs of a birth, but it turns out he was wrong. But she is very pregnant and the foal can come any day. If it is a he we might call him either Sturla or Brage. I haven't thought of any female names, I think we might just look up in Kongsedda by Snorre. Any ideas? I want the horse to have a norse name since it is a old norse race. It is the type of horse that the vikings had, and the type that the icelandic ponies come from.

Today I played a lot of CS with my brother. I have missed playing on a regular basis with a group. It is a lot of fun and the adrenaline of jumping down into a cluster of enemies armed only with a Night Hawk (CS version of a Desert Eagle) is an amazing rush. Yeah I am a bit of an adrenaline junkie. I have to say the Night Hawk is my very favorite gun, and then the Magnum Sniper rifle on second place and the Maverick on the third. And whenever I have something that is not a pistol I have the NH as a back up. This is due to Ace and him, when I first started playing, telling me to run with only a pistol. People think I am crazy when I team up with people and they dress up in as strong as possible and I only get the NH. Or that I am cocky, or suicidal, or all of them at the same time. The truth is the second and that a NH is my best shot. I need to get better at using grenades though. I don't like them. And shields are just shitty, and I HATE the M249 (the machine gun). You have no precision. On that note I don't like the SMGs or the Shotguns either. In fact I only like pistols and rifles. Though the noob cannon can be very fun, it will stop anyone. But then again, so will the Night Hawk. But enough rant about fictional guns. Talking about real ones, this summer I am going to work on getting my hunting licence. Which means joing my dad and brother on the shooting range tomorrow. Hmm, maybe I can talk them into letting me try a shot or five.

In rpg news, I have come up with a little Shadowrun idea. It is going to take place in Hong Kong. Just because I can do it. And I might try running it as a AIM or Skype gaming session. That could be very interesting. Anyone have any expirience doing that sort of sessions? Bunny? Ace? And so far I think I have two players, Sibs and Claire, which means that there are some open spots if we can coordinate times...Anyone?

Random update on life

I am sitting in the Campus Center Cafe, listening to Dragons Landing. DL is a good podcast about roleplaying. I get tons of ideas when I listen to them, not to mention that their webpage have a ton of links for anything you might need. I have given up homework for the day, after all I am going to be in class from 7PM to 10PM, it is snowing tonight so we are going to stuck in the room and not the roof.
I have been bad about writing, but when I am done with this post I am going to go write. I also found consceptart.org which I am considering joining, I want to do more art, I just need to find time and insipration. I plan to start with getting my drawing skills back up, and then when I get home work with watercolours, I love working with watercolour, but it is a hard media to master, so that is one thing to work on this summer.
In gaming news I have cancelled the larp I was going to run this summer, I was feeling that I would not have enough time to deliver a good enough games. During springbreak I plan to start working on the pirate larp, along with all the other stuff going on.

Finally:
Late August: During ISP Tonje filled out the application from for a Social Security Number, so that she could do her job in the dining services. She was told it would not take long.
Mid/Late October: Payroll wants to know why Tonje has not yet given them her Social Security number. Tonje tell them she does not have one yet. She also talk to the dean of International Students, and he says he will take her to the Social Security office to reapply.
One week later: Tonje recives a letter from Social Sercurity saying that they recived her application on the 26th of October. And that she will have her Social Security card within two weeks. Tonje is happy, untill she discovers that the letter is addressed to TONZE not TONJE. She sends Social Security a letter about this.
One week later: Tonze recives her Social Security Card. Tonje is feeling a bit odd and stressed out at this point.
Yesterday: Tonje recived a letter saying that she will get a corrected Social Security Card within two weeks. Tonje is looking forward to actually being able to give Payroll her Social Security number.
Yay for efficency!

Geek:
For the last few days I have gone back to wearing the necklace Bunny gave me for my birthday. It is a dogtag that says geek. I love it and it is very me. It reminds me of her and all the geeky things we did, I am really a proper geek. I am going to SSFFS meeting in half an hour. Yet I don't mind the geek label. I am proud to be one.

And oh yeah. Christmas: for those of you who who have me on your Christmas gift list one of the things I want is more funny t-shirts, you know like my "I respect you opninon.." one. I have figured out what rpg game I am giving Bunny this year. And this year I plan to be on time...

Game Over

Episode 12 of Pure Pwnage is out, have been out for a few days acctually. I just watched it today and I fell in love with thatshow again. Jeremy mentiones Norway... It is the season finale and I just loved the last few minutes of it. You get to see Kayle's face and a full list of credits, meaning everybody's name. It is pretty cool. It has made me so want to get back into gaming. There is not really that many gamers here, at least not that I know of. I know of me and one more. If anybody have a version of CS they want to give me...(hint hint) I so want to play CS again, I miss gaming with the gaming gang at RCN. And now it looks like my computer won't run D&D Online (yep, you know you are a geek when).
Walked down to Modern Myths today with Kayleigh, ended up buying lastest issue of Dungeon and Mind Eye Theater's vampire larp book, which is the rules we go by in the Arkham. Oh, and Kinë (Kayleigh's character) and Sarah (mine) have some great plans which I can't reveal yet, but I might be able to do on Sunday.
Tomorrow is Othsomething Cromwell day, meaning afternoon classes off. Great, since I don't have afternoon classes at all. But I was indeed thinking about attending some of the stuff going on anyway. 8 o'clock Math class tomorrow morning, then Engineering canceled but my group is meeting anyway and then Chinese class, and the teacher said he had something speasial planned for us, somehow that freaks me out even more. I had a very bad day yesterday, I only had two classes as I do on tuesdays, but in one of them we had an Engineering paper due (the group had this due) and because the other thing I had was a chinese test, I could not contribute a lot on monday and yesterday I felt that I had somehow failed my group, let them down, not pulled my own weight and disapointed them. Those of you who know me well, know how much I hate disapointing people, how much it eats me up inside and makes me want to hinde in a corner and just cry. And on top of this I did badly at the test, so the hours I spent prepareing for that was wasted, I could have used them with my group working on the paper. In short I felt very bad yesterday. I went and talked to the professor, I just need someone to talk to. She was quite helpful, among other things she proposed that I go and talk to someone professional. I might, it guess it would be nice talking to somewho could give some good advise.
