Iceland Yay!

So I have spent the last few days on this random piece of vulcanic rock in the middle of the Atlantic, I am living in Reykjavik with the bunneh and Ace. It is a lot of fun and very chill. Just what I need after the last few weeks at college. I have been watching a lot of movies, gotten hooked on Rome, thanks Ace :P , smoked waterpipe (oh so good after months off), met cool people, been inspired to do a bunch of games and walked around Reykjavik a lot.

Now I am staying awake with the bunneh while she studies for an exam tomorrow. But I am laying in bed and there is a naked pussy against my knees. He's been snaking into my bed every night, he is a nice little heater, not that it is very cold but there is some thing with having the cat underneath the blankets with you. Yes he sleeps underneath the blankets. I have never met a cat like this before.

There have been a lot of interesting political conversations. I never realized how much I missed that. Comparing laws and things we think should change and what is fucked up in this world. And then in the next minute we are joking about something stupid like Benny Lava. Something we had so much of in Flekke and I feel so little of elsewhere. But that might just be me.

In short I am having a great time here.

Finally on top of things.

So homework is no longer this scary bugger treating to kill me. One problem set all done, one halfway, one test taken, the other one in about an hour, one edited lab report done, two interfaces implemented and the last problemset might not even be a problemset at all. Still got the quiz on friday and readings to be done, but I feel so good.

So, spring break plans, Iceland, 700 bucks, one week, get to see Bunny, worth it? HELL YEAH.

Art is still going, I still want a tablet. But I like working with art, must not go into a art blackhole again. My corset arrived yesterday and I tried it on, and I loved it. Real leather and buckles, what can be better? I might go to Holyoke Mall on Saturday, anybody wants to come with me? I need some more clothes and it is fun to go shopping.

Oh and Leonard Nimoy has an exhibition in Noho soonish, I really wanna go.

Plans for next summer

First of all: 201st post, wow. I impress myself. That's a lot of random drek.

Yeah, I am making plans for next summer, interrailing in Germany. Less than 200 Euro for 8 days of travel within a month. Sounds great. I wanna go visit Nico and Isa, go to Berlin and south Germany. I haven't even done what I am planning for this summer yet and I am already making plans for next summer. Then again, I also have plans for the summer after that again. Back to Hong Kong Summer of '09. Mm, my plans so far are
Summer '07 : Amsterdam, LARPing and work
Summer '08 : Germany, Home and Possibly extra classes at Smith/work there
Summer '09 : Hong Kong
Summer '10 : Enjoy the 60 day grace period for all it's worth.
But yeah, wanna go to Germany now. I have gotten an renewed interest in the country, thanks to Lufthansa. Heck, I am even started learning German again, ie. I took my brother's German text book and just started reading. When I am done with that one, I'll just get hold of a random book and read. Anyone got any recomendations? A German book that's not too hard. Maybe I'll read Lord of the Rings, since I haven't done my yearly reading of it yet and I know the story so I can consentrate on the language. I am still working on keeping my chinese up and even gotten back into learning random cantonese phrases. Yay for me and languages

On my way home.

I am now sitting in Anton's room.. I sleep here last night. Kinda fun.. Shared a bottle of wine with some of his freinds, met Moinina, and just chilled.. I know I told everyone that I don't have any feelings for him any more, not really true that. Freindship, but a deeper kind than you normally find. I haven't forgiven him for messing my head last year, but aparently the freindship goes beyond that. I guess that proves it, when you first have earned my freindship, you gonna have to do really well to lose it. I like Anton's room mates, they're a cool bunch.

Yesterday on the bus I could feel a long rant like the one I wrote when I was traveling back from HK build up. I guess I'll be writing a long post while I am traveling. But since I have forgotten my little book for writing blog ideas in, I am going to have to do in airports or on the bus. I don't really like using my computer on the plane. I don't know why I just don't like doing it. But then again I have a 5 hour lay over in Frankfurt, should get some writing done there. Also I'll crazy tired so..
I like the stream of consiusness writing style I can only do when I am tired or traveling.
Anyway... See you all when I am back home. I'll be on more or less 24/7 starting sunday evening norwegian time.

Jet-lagged

"But your thoughts will soon be wandering the way they always do
When youre riding sixteen hours and theres nothing much to do
And you dont feel much like riding, you just wish the trip was through
Here I am - on the road again
There I am - up on the stage
Here I go - playing star again
There I go - turn the page"
-Turn the page by Metallica

I came back yesterday, after traveling for a fair number of hours. Traveling was ok, I normally love traveling, but for some reason I just wasn't in the mood. I spent most of the trip reading Silmarilion, I really like that one book, but there is a lot of names and events to keep straight. This is my frist time reading it in English, and it is easier in English than Norwegian. When I arrived in Boston, Hope and Jay came and picked me up, that was very nice. Then we celebrated Hope's birthday.
Today I spent cleaning my room, playing CS and chilling with Hope. I am really tired now, but I think I'll push it for at least another hour, just to get over my jetlag.

50 hours (more or less)

of traveling.
5PM wednesday (Smith time= 11PM Home time): I start walking down to the NoHo buss stop.
1AM saturday (Home time = 7PM Friday Smith time): I arrive at home.
I love travelling, and I am not being sacrastic here. But delayed flight are shitty. I had a three and a half hour delay in Logan and then a six and a half hour delay in Iceland (but Keflavik(?) is a pretty nice airport). Let's just say I missed my train, it left Oslo one hour before I left Iceland. So I had to come up with something quick, my mom told me to go take the bus, so I had an five hour bus ride and then an hour car ride before I was home.. Oh joy...

Christmas have been nice so far. My aunt and her two daughters have been here as well as my sister and grandmother. Nice, big family gathering. I have already had a fight with my dad. Three days in, maybe I shouldn't have planned to stay for the entire j-trem.

Oh an oh yeah, I got End of an Era DVD limited edition. Nightwish, yay.. Other cool gifts for this year include latest Nemi book, Seresnity RPG, and iPod speakers. I am happy.

Weekend. Haircut and first day of work comming up.

Yesterday was nice, after one and a half year I finally got a haircut. It was needed, big time. I also went to the village BBQ. I don't know if we are allowed to call ourselvs a village though, we're about 60 people, most of them old as hell. But it was nice anyway.
Today have been a nice, easy day. I've started cleaning my room and that's it. Very easy. Tomorrow I am going to start my real job this summer though, museum guide. 4 hours and I am 400 NOK richer, I get a wage rise because I am over 18 this year. 3 weeks of that and I am closer to my plan of going to Hong Kong next summer (which by the way Thomas is spelled Hongkong in Norwegian (No kidding, it is) For those of you that do not understand this, Thomas nearly killed me once I spelled HK the Norwegian way). I might have the money for the ticket and maybe, maybe some spending money. Hehe, anyway my mom said I could borrow the rest from them and pay them back by working next summer too. All work and no p(l)ay makes Jack a dull boy. Now I have to return to cleaning my room and find my home work underneath my clothes...
